You Gave Him What He Wanted, I Gave Him What He Needed. That’s Why You Failed.

He demanded but you didn’t think overwhelmed by the command. Is that it? Was it a command or a plea? Was he just thinking out loud? No, I know what it was. You acted in fear but I acted out of love. That’s it. From fear the violence comes but in love the violence ends.

Sword fights can be tiring though even when you’re not striking but blocking the blow.

Yeah, exhausting actually.

In Disguise

The Easter Bunny crept across the street

To the store hoping for sales

But not yet

Oh well

Found a small wicker basket

Purple for royalty no other way

A couple of delightful gifts

Just for fun not too much

A chocolate rabbit as tradition demands

On a stick

Best lollipop you can bet

Picked up a grocery order

Came back

Put things away

Designed the Easter surprise

Well not so much

We know what we get

But the magic there still

That reflects in your eyes

Now I have to put it somewhere so I stop picking on it

And there’s something left

When you arrive

But I felt it this time

Different than then

I melted

Something inside me did

I was part of that kiss

Then he leaned and rolled her onto the sand

She wrestled him back gently and he pushed again

And I didn’t care if they were married or not

In real life I mean

And how they managed to do that on the screen

Or how their spouses would feel

I remembered I believe
